About the Tinnitus Functional Index

The TFI was developed by Meikle and colleagues at Oregon Health & Science University. It was validated as a responsive, reliable measure of tinnitus severity and treatment-related change, and is now one of the most widely used outcome measures in tinnitus clinical trials worldwide.
